Wetlands, grasslands, scarp and swamp forest. Small mammals and good birdlife. Indigenous flowers in spring are special features of this reserve, not forgetting the classic time piece which is an ancient Roman method of telling time by measuring the sun’s position using bamboo/sticks. This 21.9ha covers a wide area of grassland forming the biggest catchment area for rainwater.

How to get there
From the M13 take the Old Main Rd. / Hillcrest off-ramp. Travel towards Hillcrest and at the Heritage Market, turn right into Stonewall Road. Turn right into Springside Road, the reserve entrance is on the left.
