TARIFF OF CHARGES : SEA AND SEA-SHORE

1. The following charges shall be payable in respect of the facilities, services and other matters described.

2. Any reference to "the Regulations" shall mean a reference to the Durban Sea-Shore Regulations made in terms of section 10 of the Sea-Shore Act, 1935 (Act 24 of 1935).

3. (1) Hire and use of coin-operated locker R0,20 per day or part thereof

Provided that a person hiring a locker shall remove his property therefrom and return the key supplied to him not later than closing thime on the day of hire and upon his failure to do so he shall be liable for a penalty of R0,40 for any day or part thereof during which his failure continues.

(2) Replacement of lost key to coin-operated locker R3,20

4. Surfers' lockers

(1) Hire and use of coin-operated clothes locker R0,50 per day or part thereof

(2) Hire and use of coin-operated surfboard locker R1,00 per day or part thereof

(3) Hire and use of surfboard locker on a quarterly basis R120,00 per quarter or part thereof

(4) Replacement of key to locker R5,00

Provided that:

(5) A person hiring a locker on a daily basis shall remove his property therefrom and return the key supplied to him not later than closing thime on the day of hire and upon his failure to do so he shall be liable for a penalty of R2,00 for any day or part thereof during which his failure continues.

(6) A person hiring a locker on a quarterly basis shall remove his property therefrom and return the key supplied to him not later than closing time on the day of hire and upon his failure to do so he shall be liable for a penalty of R2,00 for any day or part thereof during which his failure continues.

5. Annual fee in respect of waiters.

(1) A fee of R530,00 for each waiter specified in the permit for the sale and supply of refreshments which has been granted in terms of the regulations shall be paid by the licensee upon the grant of the permit and thereafter on or before 7 January each year during the currency of the permit and any renewal thereof.

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 5.1, the fee shall, in respect of any waiter whose activities are confined in terms of the permit issued to the licensee, to Dunes Beach and/or Laguna Beach be R60,00 per waiter upon the grant of the permit and thereafter R60,00 on or before the seventh day of each month during which refreshments are to be sold or supplied by the licensee upon the said beach or beaches.
