35. (1) The following charges and fees shall be payable in respect of each animal or bird claimed in terms of section 8(2):

Animals referred to in section 4(1)(a) or (b), other than a bitch detained in terms of section 9, provided that at the discretion of the poundmaster the actual cost of conveying an animal or bird or of keeping it at the pound shall be payable in lieu of such charge or fee

(2) The following charges and fees shall be payable in respect of each bitch detained in terms of section 9: -

(i) For the conveyance of a bitch to and from the place of

detention R10,00

(ii) For the detention of the bitch per day or part thereof R3,00

(3) The following fees shall be payable in respect of each animal impounded in terms of section 13 : -

(i) Trespass fee referred to in section 14 R6,00

(ii) Pound fee R5,00

(iii) Conveyance fee (payable by each owner per trip R20,00

provided that at the discretion of the poundmaster the actual cost of conveying an animal or of keeping it at the pound shall be payable in lieu of the conveyance or pound fee, as the case may be.
